Introduction

This jukebox has evolved from a love music and a desire to have an entertainment system that would give real control of your music collection.

This jukebox will continue to evolve and improve as long as we have a passion for music and the time to develop it further, for this reason we have provided a comments button and would love to hear your suggestions and opinions, please include contact details if you don't mind being notified of future updates or contacted regarding this software.

This jukebox will index all your songs to make them searchable & browseable by artist name, it can also use multiple sources and treat them as if you are browsing one location.

This jukebox can be controlled using just the keyboard or just the mouse or a combination of both.

How to install

Click the link above and you will be invited to save or open, choose save and select a temporary location on your machine. When the installer has download open it. You will be invited to choose a location to install. Select one from the list.
Once installed you may dispose of the installer.

How to set up

Auto select music locations

The first time you open the jukebox it will search your computer for music locations.
-it will look for 'MyDocuments\My Music'
-it will also look for drives whos label is 'MUSIC'
-and folders named 'MUSIC' in the root of any drive.
These drives will appear in 'FIELD 1', if you are happy for the jukebox to index these directories then you press 'play'.

Once in play mode if you want to change which directories are indexed press the 'change folders' button. Note: this will clear your current playlist.

Displaying album covers

If you wish to display an album cover or other image while the track plays, place a jpeg file in the same folder as the music files, name this file 'front.jpg'. The prefered size is 250x250 pixels, however the jukebox will rescale the cover to fit into 250x250px.

Indexing artists

The ideal way to store your music is to store it in artist folders. Example file structure:

Using this method it will be easy to locate artists and add either a single track, an album or all of an artist's tracks to the playlist.

If you place files loose in the main directory the software will not be able to index the files by artist, in the event of the software finding loose files a button will appear called 'loose 1'.

Indexing loose tracks

Loose tracks can be indexed if named appropriately.

If you have tracks that you would not like to store in artists folders you can still have these artists indexed. This is usefull if you want to index all the artists within a compilation, but would like to keep the files in the compilation folder.

As the diagram above show you will need to rename your tracks within the compilation as shown above. Once you have done this you will need to add the directory name to 'FIELD 2' and press play.

If you place files within these folders which do not contain an underscore in the name the software will find these files and not be able to index them, in the event of this happening a new button will appear called 'loose 2'.

Next time you open the jukebox you will just need to press play as this indexing will be remembered.

How to update

Press the 'update jukebox' button. In order to update the jukebox requires an updater, if the latest version is not already on your pc it will be automaically downloaded to the application folder.
